Written reports must be logical, must be factual and must be complete.
Report writer must understand the needs of the audience, what the audience expects. Before presenting reports to the audience make sure what the audience wants.
Essential stage in reports writing is collecting and organizing information, writing first draft.
To avoid time wasting verbosity is convenient to use illustrations, which can help the readers easier understand difficult parts of reports.

The next form of laboratory reports is used in universities and colleges, where students are asked to perform tests and then write a lab report to describe their findings.

In these days most of written reports fail or they become very simple and boring to the reader. It means they are not logically organized or the report writer does not use the right technique. This well organized information can actually take less time to produce an effective piece of communication. The main points and some ideas were given in a simple and easy understandable way. A lot of them were highlighted and examples were given.
Also it is necessary to know how to keep your laboratory notes. Reports can be classified into couple groups depending in what section you are working.
